Throughout the day, students will earn gold coins. Coins are earned for positive behavior.  Each student has a treasure chest that he/she painted and decorated to keep their coins in.  On Fridays, the children count their coins and exchange them for items from the "Gold Coin Store".  For example, they can buy a mechanical pencil for 10 coins or save their coins for more "expensive" items, such as cool folders.  The children are motivated in a positive way and enjoy earning coins everyday.
